The flexible polyurethane outer gasket provides an airtight perimeter seal to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing the filter media. A galvanized steel diamond-pattern support mesh helps the filter retain its shape under fan suction for reliable operation. Inspect the filter regularly by holding it toward a bright light; replace it when the pleated paper appears dark, clogged, or heavily filled with debris. Do not wash or spray this filter with water, as moisture damages the cellulose fibers and reduces filtration performance. Installation is fast and simple: remove the filter cover, discard the old filter, clean the housing with a shop vacuum or brush, install the new filter with a full perimeter seal, and refasten the cover.
