Spider Screw K1 Orthodontic TAD Mini-Implant (Ø1.5 mm)
The Ultimate Self-Tapping Orthodontic Anchorage Solution
Achieve unparalleled precision and stability in your orthodontic treatments with the
Spider Screw K1 Temporary Anchorage Device (TAD). Specifically engineered for modern orthodontic practices, this Ø1.5 mm conical thread mini-implant delivers immediate loading capabilities and exceptional versatility for both symmetric and asymmetric anchorage.
Key Features & Benefits
- Conical Self-Tapping & Self-Drilling Thread: Allows direct subosseous insertion without pre-drilling in most cases, reducing chair time and patient discomfort.
- Diameter: Ø1.5 mm for minimal invasiveness and precise interradicular placement.
- Available Lengths: 6.5 mm, 8 mm, and 10 mm to suit a wide range of clinical scenarios.
- Two Neck Height Options: Long Neck (2 mm) for thick soft tissues; Short Neck (1 mm) for thin tissues.
- Immediate Loading: As a non-osteointegrable implant, orthodontic forces can be applied right after placement — no healing period required.
- Versatile Placement: Suitable for both the maxilla and mandible, including areas with limited access or less-than-ideal bone quality.
Transmucosal Collar Options
To accommodate varying soft tissue biotypes, the Spider Screw K1 is available with two distinct neck heights. The Long Neck (2 mm) is ideal for thick soft tissues commonly found in posterior and lateral sectors. The Short Neck (1 mm) provides a standard height designed for thin tissues, typically in anterior and lateral sectors.
Simplify your workflow. Maximize your clinical outcomes.
As a non-osteointegrable implant, orthodontic forces can be applied immediately after placement — no waiting period required. Its compact Ø1.5 mm diameter allows for confident insertion even in areas with limited interradicular space or less-than-ideal bone quality, giving you the flexibility to address even the most complex anchorage needs.Designed to simplify placement, the Spider Screw K1 features a self-tapping and self-drilling conical profile. This innovative design allows for direct subosseous insertion without the need for pre-drilling in most cases, significantly reducing chair time and minimizing patient discomfort. A pilot hole (using a Ø1.1 mm drill) is only recommended in areas with exceptionally thick cortical bone.
Tapered Thread (Self-drilling/Self-tapping)
Available in lengths: 6,5 - 8 - 10 mm.
Spider Screw K1 - no pre-drill hole preparation is required. The conical shape of its infraosseous portion allows the screw insertion without predrilling. In case the cortical is very thick it is advisable to make a pre-hole using the Ø 1,1 mm drill.
Available with two transmucosal heights:
Long Neck: Increased neck height (2 mm) for thick soft tissues (back and side areas).
Short Neck: Standard neck height (1 mm) for thin tissues (front and side areas).
